Solar Gard ClearShield

Solar Gard ClearShield Paint Protection Film, made by Solar Gard is a very good product. While I am primarily a 3M guy, this film is the closest to 3M in many ways. The adhesive is strong enough to stretch around difficult curved surfaces and not want to ‘shrink’ back on the edges. Solar Gard ClearShield comes from 6”-48” width, so I can wrap the entire hood and fenders of most cars. While the material is very clear, it does have a bit more ‘orange peel’ texture than 3M, the fact that I can stretch it and not have it come back in a month because of lifting around the edges, gives me great peace of mind. Most people don’t want their film to peel and need to be re-done, and I don’t want to have to do a job twice either!
